WHEN SCHEDULING YOUR FLIGHTS…
This program is offered in conjunction with the Djoser, Netherlands office but must be booked through Djoser, in the United States. On this trip you will join Dutch & Belgium participants. So that all travelers in the group have the same point of reference, the days in the day-to-day descriptions below correspond with the program description for the Dutch travelers, taking into account their travel time from Amsterdam.
When you book your flight, please keep in mind to the estimated times of arrival and departure of the Dutch participants. You should plan to arrive prior to the Dutch travelers.

Our day-to-day program is not strictly regimented but is determined by collaboration between the guide and participants. The guide will organize and accompany many activities but will also make suggestions so that you can explore and dine, safely, on your own.

Day 3 Hong Kong - Guangzhou, night train to Guilin
You will meet the Dutch participants in Hong Kong. Besides futuristic skyscrapers and modern shopping malls you will also see traditional Chinese neighborhoods, vast temples and street markets. The next day we proceed by boat and take the night train from Guangzhou to Guilin. We travel in the “hard sleeper” open compartments (sitting).

Xinping Day 7 - Yangon
Early in the morning we arrive in the ancient city of Guilin. Here we spend the afternoon on the bikes, our transport for the next nine days. The next day we start our bike ride in traditional fishing villages along the Li River.
In total we travel about 300 kilometers on the bikes or an average of 35 kilometers per day. We have enough time along the way to "chat" with the local population. You cycle mostly on quiet country roads and across green rice fields. The first path leads through agricultural fields, where you see people in the fields working with the water buffalo.
On the characteristic Daxu village we visit a rice wine factory. In Chaoping the caves are worth a visit. The next day we cycle along steep slopes and valleys, to the small town of Xin Ping, on the River. In a cafe on the waterfront, you can reflect on your first bike ride. Also you can climb Loazai where you enjoy the amazing views of the beautiful Li River.

Early in the morning we take a boat trip on the tranquil Li River. We cycle south through the town of Fuli, Li where we cross to Yangshuo. This charming city is the ideal base for exploring the area.
The program also includes a bike ride through the villages and Aishan Yong Chun to the Moon Hill. Those who wish to can climb to the top to enjoy the beautiful scenery, a special experience. On the way you make a short trip on a bamboo raft. The many terraces of Yangshuo offer pleasant places to shop and find a souvenir. We also make a bike ride around 35 kilometers from Yangshuo and Yulong through Jiuxi back to Yangshuo. One of the days in Yangon those who want to may go on a walk to Baisha. We walk a distance of approx. 16 kilometers and we are introduced to the real rural life in the surrounding villages.

Day 11 Yangshuo - Chen Gong
Day 12 Chen Gong - Dongjin - Chaotian
Day 13 Chaotian - Guilin
We cycle on a flat route through the pretty market town of Shazi, to Chen Gong. Here you have enough time to visit the temple. The route then carries along the river, through typical colorful villages. The terrain has gradual hills. The bus is traveling to Chaotian, but of course you can also bike the 66 kilometers It is a tough but beautiful drive. The last day of cycling we drive back to Guilin.

We fly from Shenzhen to Guilin and step down on the boat to Hong Kong. You have a full day to explore this modern metropolis. From Victoria Peak you have an unforgettable view of the skyscrapers and the harbor. The program ends late in the evening.
