We climb the Plank and take a hike on the island of Lipari. The boat takes us on a climb to Stromboli. Under supervision, we will get a view of the glowing lava from the. Back in Sicily, we take a walk to Rocca Novara at 1340 meters and take two walks with a local guide on Mount Etna.

LODGINGS:  We stay in comfortable, tourist class hotels with private shower and toilet. All breakfasts are included as is the dinner in our hotel in Zafferana Etnea, located on the east side of Mount Etna. The hotel is located in the Vulcano Porto di Levante.

SINGLES: Unless you request single accommodations, singles will be matched with a same-sex roommate. If we cannot match you, there is not additional charge for the single.

INCLUSIVES:  The cost of a guide assisted land package includes tour leader from Holland (as a logistics coordinator, not a lecturer), local moutain guides at Stromboli and Etna. city-to-city transport, hotel stays with breakfast (in Zafferana Etnea, all meals included). Airport transfers at beginning and end of land program.  
EXCLUSIVES:  International flights, other meals, optional excursions, entrance fees not specifically named, visa or exit taxes (when applicable) gratuities, personal expenses, etc. Estimated Out-of-Pocket Weekly: $ 270

PRIVATE TOURS/CUSTOM DATE:  If you have a party of 8 or more, you can book almost any of Djoser’s group programs on a private basis. In this case we would use  a local guide(s). Lodging upgrades or smaller group size (when possible) would incur additional costs.

The land program begins depending on the flight arrival time of the Dutch participants who fly together from Amsterdam. The group will typically meet about 2 to 3 hours after their arrival, at the hotel. If they have a late evening arrival, the program will begin early the next morning. Please note their scheduled flight times below to estimate your own flight times.
